Welcome!

Explore this site to learn more about the research focused on the environmental impacts of treated wood.  The Bill Hinkley Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste Management sponsored research on this topic from 1997 to 2006. This research was funded through the Center with support through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the National Science Foundation. 

In 2015, the Hinkley Center re-initiated funding in this area to evaluate the changes in the treated wood sector and its impacts on wood waste.
